Bhubaneswar: A total of 9,128 COVID-19 deaths have been recorded in Odisha till July 18, according to data placed in the state Assembly on Monday.
Khurda district has reported the highest number of deaths at 1,751 followed by Cuttack (907) and Sundargarh (682). Malkangiri district has reported the lowest deaths at 48.
The state government received 27,858 applications till July 18 to confirm deaths due to COVID-19. Of it, 24,717 applications have been approved, 1,311 rejected, 186 pending and 1,819 reverted, according to the data.
