Bhubaneswar: Ahead of 3-day Raja festivities, the Odisha government on Tuesday announced a four per cent hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) for its employees and pensioners.
According to a CMO release, the hike in DA and TI for the government employees and pensioners was approved by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. It will be implemented with retrospective effect from January 23 and the employees will receive the hiked amount with their June salary. The pensioners will also receive the revised rate in their pension for the month of June.
The decision to hike the dearness allowance from the existing 38 per cent to 42 per cent will benefit 7.5 lakh government employees and pensioners, it added.
