Bhubaneswar: Hockey India has announced complimentary tickets for Olympians and former international players to witness the FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023 being held in Bhubaneswar-Rourkela from January 13-29, 2023.
“The presence of former Indian hockey players will certainly boost the morale of the Indian Men’s Hockey Team. Keeping in mind the immense contribution of former hockey stalwarts, Hockey India continues to recognize their efforts and welcome them in Odisha to watch the matches, inspire and cheer all the Teams,” said Hockey India Secretary General Bholanath Singh.

Meanwhile, ticket sales for the men’s Hockey World Cup have begun at https://insider.in/online. Marking the 50-day countdown to the event, former India captain and Hockey India (HI) president Dilip Tirkey handed the first ticket of the World Cup to Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday.

Tickets have been priced between Rs 200 and Rs 500 for India match days and between Rs 100 and Rs 500 for non-India match days. Each ticket allows a spectator to watch the entire day’s proceedings at a venue.
Odisha is hosting the quadrennial world championship for the second consecutive time and matches will be played in two venues – Kalinga Stadium (Bhubaneswar) and Birsa Munda Stadium (Rourkela). Sixteen teams will participate in the prestigious world tournament. While 24 matches will be played in Bhubaneswar and another 20 in Rourkela.
