Bhubaneswar: Before filing the chargesheet in the Odisha honeytrap racket case, officials of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) lady blackmailer Archana Nag’s residence with valuators to make a valuation of the property amassed by the accused through illegal means.
According to reports, ED officials have interrogated Archana Nag and her husband Jagabandhu Chand to learn about the valuation of their plush bungalow in Bhubaneswar’s Satya Vihar area, the money spent on the rich interior of the building as well as the luxury cars owned by Archana. Failing to elicit satisfactory answers from the accused, the ED officials visited the property to prepare its valuation.
ED officials also visited the Jharpada jail in the city on Thursday and interrogated another accused, Khageshwar Patra, for details regarding Archana Nag’s property. There is a high possibility of ED will move to court seeking permission to seize Archana’s property in case it is not satisfied with the response of the accused.
