Bhubaneswar: The kingpin of alleged honeytrap racket in Odisha, Archana Nag, is likely to be quizzed inside Jharpada Special where she is lodged since her arrest on October 6.
According to sources, Commissionerate Police is likely to move the SDJM court here to seek permission for the same due to security reasons along with her remand for questioning.
Notably, the court has reserved its verdict after concluding the hearing in her fresh petition for bail on Friday, when she appeared via video conferencing. Archana reportedly broke down during the hearing when the counsel of the state government opposed her bail stating that sections under which she has been booked are punishable and the racket involves high-profile people.
Earlier, Bhubaneswar DCP had informed the 26-year-old woman was arrested on basis of a complaint lodged by a girl at Khandadgiri police station on October 2 and booked that 387, 420 and 506 of IPC and some sections of IT Act.
Her lawyer, however, opposed these sections and sought the police diary. He claimed that she was a victim of political controversy and therefore, should be granted bail, the sources added.
