Bhubaneswar/Cuttack: School and Mass Education minister Samir Ranjan Dash on Thursday said the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) will abide by the decision of the Odisha Human Rights Commission (OHRC) on offline exams for divyang students.
The minister said a total of 2555 students including 139 divyang students from nine special schools had appeared in the Matric exams through correspondence. However, the BSE did not announce the results of the divyang students because their schools are not affiliated.
“The OHRC has directed the BSE not to go ahead with the offline exams of these 139 differently-abled students. As the Commission will announce its ruling today (Thursday), the Board will abide by its directive,” Dash added.
