Bhubaneswar: Odisha cadre IAS officer Rajesh Verma has been appointed as Secretary to President Droupadi Murmu.
According to a notification of the Department of Personnel and Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions issued on Thursday, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Verma as Secretary to President of India. He is presently serving as the Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
A 1987 bath officer, Verma has also served as the Principal Secretary to Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Principal Secretary, Energy department.
