New Delhi: IAS officer from Odisha Roopa Mishra has been appointed Joint Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, for five years.
A 2004-batch ICS topper is currently holding the post of director of Drinking Water and Sanitation under Jal Shakti in New Delhi.
She had served as director, water and sanitation, in the Odisha government before proceeding on central deputation in 2020.
Similarly, Pramod Kumar Meherda has been appointed as Managing Director, National Food Security Mission (NFSM) under the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare with an additional charge of Secretary, Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) for a tenure of five years.
The 1997-batch Odisha-cadre IAS officer had served as Secretary to the Governor and as Health Secretary in the Odisha government.
They are among the 43 officers, whose appointment at the Joint Secretary/Joint Secretary equivalent level was approved by the appointments committee of the Cabinet on Monday.
