Odisha IAS Officer Sanjeev Chopra Given Additional Charge As Union Agriculture Secy

New Delhi: Following repatriation of Manoj Ahuja to the parent cadre, the Centre has given additional responsibility of Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, to another Odisha-cadre IAS officer, Sanjeev Chopra.

The 1990-batch officer, who is on central deputation, is currently serving as Secretary, Food and Public Distribution.

Ahuja, on the other hand, took charge as Chief Secretary of Odisha on Sunday.

Chapra had earlier served as Agriculture Production Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary, Home and Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment, in Odisha.
