Bhubaneswar: Odisha cadre IAS officers Ananya Das and Chanchal Rana are all set to enter into wedlock for second time. The two got engaged on Sunday.
Ananya Das, who is now Sambalpur district collector, and Balangir collector Chanchal Rana exchanged rings in presence of their family members, close relatives and friends.
Sources said the ring ceremony was held at the official residence of Das in Sambalpur. The bureaucrat couple are likely to tie the knot in around three months.
This will be second wedding for both Das and Rana. Earlier, Das had married IAS Officer Abdaal M. Akhtar, who is now posted as the Collector of Koraput.
Similarly, Rana happanes to be ex-husband of Rayagada district Collector Swadha Dev Singh.
The IAS officers duo decided to marry again after separation from their respective partners.
Das, a 2015 batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre, hails from Assam. After getting married to Odisha-cadre IAS officer Akhtar, she was allowed to change her cadre. Prior to her appointment as the Sambalpur Collector, she was the Commissioner of Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC).
Rana, a 2014 batch IAS Officer, happens to be an alumnus of NIT Silchar, sources added.
