Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s ace gymnast Rakesh Patra delivered a spectacular performance on Thursday to clinched gold medal in the Parallel Bars event at the 38th National Games in Uttarakhand.

Earlier in the day, the women’s kayaking team of Oinam Bidya Devi, Oinam Binita Chanu, Shruti Chougule and Dhanamanjuri Devi left the rest of the field in its wake to bag gold in the K4W-500m event.
Khwairakpam Dhanamanjuri Devi secured a bronze medal in the K1W-500m event.
Odisha are at 12th place in the medals tally, with 14 gold, 15 silver and 17 bronze medals.
