Bhubaneswar: In order to attract domestic and global investors, the Odisha government will host Odisha Investors’ Meet in Bengaluru with a special focus on textiles, apparel and technical textiles from Wednesday.
A delegation of senior government officers led by chief secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena will participate in the meeting for two days.
On Wednesday, the Odisha Investors’ Meet will be held in Hotel Taj West End, Bengaluru where the Odisha government will host prospective investors from Karnataka and nearby states. It will focus on the Odisha Industrial Policy Resolution 2022 and the Odisha Apparel & Technical Textiles Policy 2022 which provide incentives and best-in-class facilitation for investors.
During the event, the delegation will apprise the investors about various existing and upcoming investment opportunities in Odisha as well as showcase the measures taken to make the state a textile and apparel hub.
On the sidelines of the show, the delegation will attend G2B meetings with prospective investors. The purpose of the meetings is to understand the requirements of investors looking to invest in Odisha and ensure that the state provides the best possible support and facilitation to the investors.
The other members of the delegation include Hemant Sharma, Principal Secretary, Industries Department and Arabinda Kumar Padhee, Principal Secretary, Handloom, Textiles, and Handicrafts department.
