Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has relieved DIG (Western Range) Kavita Jalan from state duty and allowed her to go on central deputation.
The 2003-batch IPS officer will soon take charge as Deputy Director General (DDG), Bureau of Civil Aviation Security.
IPS officer of 2007-batch Sarthak Sarangi will replace her.
Sarangi is currently serving as DIG, NCR, Talcher, in-charge Principal, Police Training College, Angul.
