Bhubaneswar: Senior Odisha cadre IPS officer and Special Task Force (STF) Superintendent of Police Swathy S Kumar is set to move on Central deputation following approval from the state Police headquarters.

adre officer, Swathy S Kumar is now set to serve in the Intelligence Bureau (IB), one of the country’s premier intelligence agencies. The development marks a significant milestone in her career.
According to official sources, Kumar has been selected for appointment as Joint Deputy Director in the Intelligence Bureau. The Director General of Police (DGP), Odisha, granted the necessary permission for her Central deputation, paving the way for her transition to the new assignment.
Swathy Kumar is currently serving as the Superintendent of Police of the STF, the elite anti-crime wing of Odisha Police known for handling organized crime, narcotics, cybercrime, wildlife offences and other high-profile investigations.
Her move to the Intelligence Bureau is being seen as a recognition of her service record and expertise in policing and intelligence-related operations.
