Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has appointed senior journalist Susanta Kumar Mohanty as the State Information Commissioner.
A notification of the Information and Public Relations department on Thursday stated that under Sub-Section (3) of Section 15 of the Right To Information Act 2005, a committee was formed for selection of the State Information Commissioner.
“On the recommendation of the committee, Susanta Kumar Mohanty has been appointed to the post,” said the notification.
It may be noted that the government appoints a State Chief Information Commissioner and 4 State Information Commissioners for Odisha Information Commission.
