Bhubaneswar: TRB iron ore mines of Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL) at Tensa in Sundargarh district has received the prestigious Kalinga Safety Excellence Award (Gold category) for the year 2019.
TRB Mines won the honour for exemplary efforts in maintaining best safety practices.
The award was conferred at the Odisha State Safety Conclave-2020 held in Bhubaneswar.
Pramod Kumar Patra, Unit Head of TRB Mines, received the award on behalf of JSPL from the Speaker of Odisha Assembly, Surya Narayan Patro.
Congratulating the team of Tensa unit, Patra said, “Safety always a precondition at JSPL’s workplaces. To be ranked among the safest mines in the State is remarkable.”
Principal Secretary (Revenue & Disaster Management) Bishnupada Sethi and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
