Dhenkanal: Junior assistant of Kamakhyanagar block education officer (BEO) Jibanananda Satpathy has been arrested by Odisha Vigilance for taking bribe.
The Vigilance sleuths apprehended him while accepting a bribe Rs 10,000 from a complainant, who is the headmaster of a primary school. The bribe was demanded for facilitating release of his arrear salary.
The bribe money of Rs 10,000 has been recovered and seized from the possession of Satpathy. A trap was laid and he was arrested.
After the raid, simultaneous searches were conducted at two places in Dhenkanal district from disproportionate assets case. Cuttack Vigilance has been registered a case.
