Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday apprehended Junior Revenue Assistant (JRA) of Boudh Collectorate Choudhury Papun Kumar Dash while allegedly accepting Rs 25,000 bribe.
According to a Vigilance release, he had demanded the illegal gratification from a proprietor, dealing with aquarium products, to process file for clearing his pending bill towards setting up an Aquarium Project in Boudh District Museum in 2021-22. The entire bribe money was recovered from him and seized.
While case has been registered against him, simultaneous searches are on at two locations linked to Dash to ascertain whether he has accumulated assets disproportionate to his known sources of income, it added.
