Odisha Khadi Board & Small Industries Corporation Chairpersons Resign

Bhubaneswar: After former bureaucrats serving in different advisory roles in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) put in their papers last week, heads of corporations and boards of Odisha have also started resigning following BJD’s defeat in the recent Assembly polls.

The chairperson of Odisha Khadi and Village Industries Board Sangram Keshari Paikaray resigned on Sunday while the chairperson of Odisha Small Industries Corporation (OSIC) Limited Chinmoy Kumar Sahoo resigned on Monday.

Both Paikaray and Sahoo were appointed by the BJD-led government in October 2022.

In his resignation letter sent to Chief Secretary P K Jena, Sahoo stated that during his tenure OSIC touched new heights in profit and turnover.

On June 6, retired senior IAS officers Suresh Chandra Mahapatra and R Balakrishnan, who were Chief Advisors to the chief minister’s office (CMO), and principal secretary, Electronics and IT department Manoj Mishra resigned.
