Bhubaneswar: Former Ranji player and coach Lalitendu Bidyadhar Mohapatra is likely to participate in the BCCI AGM and elections as the representative of Association of Universities. He is a BJP leader and MLA of Brahmagiri.
Sources said Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) secretary Sanjay Behera’s name was being discussed for BCCI joint secretary but he is unlikely to contest for the post and instead continue as OCA secretary. Going by Lodha Committee recommendations, if Behera accepts a BCCI post then he has to quit OCA post in tune with the one-person-one-post norm.
The BCCI elections and AGM are scheduled on October 18.
