Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has launched an online registration system for ultrasound clinics.
Inaugurating the online application system for registration and renewal under the Pre-Conception & Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques Act (PC & PNDT) Act on Friday, Additional Chief Secretary Health and Family Welfare Pradipta Mohapatra said that Odisha is the first state in the country to launch the new and innovative system. He asked the collectors to roll out the online application in their respective districts.
Developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), the user-friendly software will help the appropriate authorities monitor the registration and renewal process, cross verification of procedural delay, review the average period taken for registration and renewal and maintain transparency in the registration of ultrasound clinics. The timeline for disposal of the registration and renewal of the application is 70 days.
For submission of the application and payment of fees, the portal allows the applicants to track the status of the application. They can also download the final certificate from the portal which will be accepted by the district authorities as valid.
