Bhubaneswar: Lawyer Sasmita Tripathy of Odisha has been elected as an executive member of the Supreme Court Bar Association. The elections for the Executive Committee 2020-2021 was held on Saturday.
She is the only Odia to have been elected to Supreme Court Bar Association. A total of 47 had contested for the post of executive members. She got 526 votes.
Sasmita belongs to Pithapur in Cuttack. A student of Ravenshaw University in Cuttack, she completed her LLM degree from Madhusudan Law College.
She has been practising law in the Supreme Court since 2002.
