Bhubaneswar: A 5-member team of Crime Branch searched the house of cameraman Manas Swain, at Nayagarh for identification of his earphones and slippers.
The team also interacted with Swain’s family members. On March 31, the investigating agency had found Swain’s earphone and slippers at a place along Daitari-Paradeep Express Highway about two km from Chandikhol.
So far, eight persons including prime accused Sarmistha Rout, her associate Jhuna Bhoi, former Odisha Information Service (OIS) officer Niranjan Sethi have been arrested in connection with the case.
On Sunday, Chandbali JMFC Court allowed Crime Branch to take prime accused Sharmistha Rout and Jhuna on three-day remand for further probe into the case.
