Bhubaneswar: Crime Branch officers, probing the sensational murder case of Odisha cameraman Manas Swain, will interrogate two accused, Bibek Nayak and Bhagyadhar Nayak, in Bhadrak sub-jail on April 16.
The Chandbali JFMC court has granted permission to the Crime Branch to interrogate the accused.
The Crime Branch also plans to conduct a Test Identification (TI) parade of five accused in the case.
The Chandbali JFMC court on Wednesday recorded the statement of Dayal Ashram caretaker under Section 164 of CrPC.
Crime Branch officials have also identified the car belonging to prime accused Sarmistha Rout from the CCTV footage of a toll gate at Tangi Bandala in Cuttack district.
The car crossed the toll and drove towards Chandikhol at around 12.08 am on February 9 and returned at around 1.59 am, Crime Branch sources said.
After burying Swain’s body in Nayagarh, the accused allegedly threw all his belongings in Chandikhol. Crime Branch sources alleged that the accused tried to destroy crucial evidence during this trip.
