Odisha Littérateur Abhinna Chandra Sahu Passes Away At 84 In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Noted writer Abhinna Chandra Sahu passed away in Bhubaneswar on the midnight of January 7 (Sunday). He was 84.

An accomplished educator, poet and literary critic, he gained popularity with ‘Adhunika Odia Sahitya Ra Bhumi O Bhumika’ edited by him. The former student of Visva-Bharati at Shantiniketan also earned recognition as a lecturer in Odia and had retired from Regional Institute of Education, Bhubaneswar. His literary works include ‘Pranabandhu Kar Chayanika’ and ‘Asina Janha’. 

Odisha Sahitya Akademi president Hrishikesh Mallick said his demise has created a vacuum in Odia literature and teaching.
