Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Sunday declared a state-wide lockdown from May 5 to May 19 due to rising cases of COVID-19.
With people worried about essential items including food, here’s what will be allowed:
Street-side Shops
Stand-alone street-side shops selling food, vegetables, fish, meat, eggs, milk and other essential items will be allowed to operate on weekdays between 5 am to 12 noon. These establishments will have to maintain a minimum 30 feet shop to shop distance.
Home Delivery
All restaurants and dhabas are allowed to open for takeaway and home delivery only. Home delivery by e-commerce platforms and food delivery partners are allowed on all days.
Amazon, Flipkart, Blue Dart, DTDC, Big Basket, Grofers, Urban Clap, Zomato, Myntra, Swiggy, KFC, Pizza Hut, Dominos, Uber Eat, etc are permitted to operate.
Retail Outlets
Retail outlets such as Big Bazaar, Reliance Fresh, OMFED, OPOLFED, Chilika Fresh, Spencers, etc are allowed to remain open and provide home delivery services.
