Bhubaneswar: Odisha saw a slight rise in daily COVID caseload on Wednesday as 14 more people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours against 6 the previous day.
According to the I & PR department, 8 of these cases are from quarantine and 6 local contacts. Three among them are in the age group of 0-18 years.
Here are the district-wise figures of the new cases:
1. Balasore: 2
2. Balangir: 3
3. Deogarh: 1
4. Gajapati: 1
5. Kendrapada: 2
6. Sonepur: 1
7. Sundargarh: 4
With these cases being detected from 22,121 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.06 per cent.
While nine districts – Nayagarh, Keonjhar, Puri, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Koraput Rayagada, Sundaragrh and Kalahandi- were from coronavirus till April 12, Deogarh and Sundargarh will be back in the Green zone with new cases being detected in the last 24 hours.
Having logged 14 cases and 21 new recoveries since yesterday, Odisha now has 130 active cases.
