Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported over 3000 new COVID cases for the third consecutive day on Friday as 3222 of 74,225 samples tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The Test Positivity Ratio (TPR) for the day stood at 4.34 per cent. It was 4.17 per cent on Thursday and 4.45 per cent on Wednesday. The state has been testing over 70000 samples for the last four days – 74000 (Wednesday), 75649 (Tuesday) and 75649 (Monday).
According to the I & PR department, 1,838 are from quarantine and 1,384 local contact cases. Cuttack reported the highest of 619 new infections followed by Khurda (422), Jagatsinghpur (212), Balasore (208) and Mayurbhanj ( 195).

Odisha now has 30950 active cases. Khurda, Cuttack and Balasore continue to be in the RED zone with over 2500 active cases. In TPR, there are no districts in the RED zone.
