Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID-19 caseload in Odisha soared past 3000 for the second consecutive day on Saturday with all 30 districts reporting new infections. The state also saw four more deaths.
According to the I & PR Department, 3144 more people in the state have tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours. Among them, 1823 are quarantine and 1321 local contact cases.
Sundargarh recorded the highest of 523 cases followed by Khurda (497) and Nuapada (395).

With this, the number of active cases has mounted to 19,077.
The Health Department sources informed about four more deaths, which pushed the toll to 1942. One death each reported has been reported from Balangir, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi and Sambalpur districts.
