Informing the media, Chandan Das said that his father was in home quarantine after he tested positive for COVID-19 on May 16.

As his condition became critical, he was admitted to a private hospital in the city and passed away at 11 pm last night while undergoing treatment, he added.

Expressing profound grief on the sad demise of Das, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said the contribution of Das in the field of literature and journalism will be remembered forever.
