Bhubaneswar: A man, who contracted COVID-19 after receiving the second vaccine jab, died at AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, on Thursday.
According to The Times of India report, the 57-year-old from Titlagarh developed symptoms of the virus 10 days after taking the second shot of Covishield on March 10. He was taken to Balangir COVID hospital and his swab samples tested positive for COVID-19. After three days of treatment, he was referred to Bhubaneswar and was admitted to a private hospital here.
On Wednesday, he was shifted to AIIMS in a critical condition on non-invasive ventilator support. The report quoted a doctor saying that his vitals were stable when he was admitted to the premier hospital. He died after his pulse and oxygen level plummeted suddenly.
