Bhubaneswar: A man from Kendrapada district of the state died of COVID-19 in a hospital in Noida.
According to sources, the 38-year-old man, identified as Gauri Shankar Parida of Giribandha village, was working in a private firm in Noida. He was staying with his younger brother.
After having fever for almost a week, Parida went for COVID-19 test. As he tested positive for the disease, he was admitted to a Covid hospital in Noida. He succumbed while undergoing treatment.
Parida is survived by wife and three-year-old daughter.
It may be noted that Delhi saw 24,368 fresh cases of COVID-19 and 249 deaths on Wednesday. It had reported 28,395 fresh infections on Tuesday.
