Odisha Man Killed By Brother-In-Law In Kerala; Accused Held

Bhubaneswar: A man from Odisha has allegedly been killed by his brother-in-law in Kerala over a trivial issue. The accused has been arrested.

 

The deceased has been identified as Abhay Bir from Bijipur village under the jurisdiction of Mohana Police Station of Gajapati district.

 

Abhay had been to Katrakera in Kerala in search of work. He was staying with his sister and brother-in-law, Manoj Kumar Nayak.

 

Sources said that when his sister and Manoj fought over some matter, Abhay tried to intervene and later left for another place. However, his brother-in-law followed him with vengeance and allegedly killed him near Chandmukhi in Katrakera by crushing him with a stone.

 

After the initial investigation, police has arrested Manoj and further investigation is underway.

 

In the meanwhile, the family members of Abhay have urged the government to help in getting his mortal remains to his village.
