Bhubaneswar: A 57-year-old man from Titlagarh has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 despite taking the second dose of Covishield 10 days ago. He is admitted to SUM Covid Hospital and is reportedly in critical condition.
According to doctors, the patient is on non-invasive ventilator (NIV) support but his vitals are stable. “His lungs have been severely affected. We are planning to put him on ventilator support. He is under observation,” the doctor was quoted as saying by The Times of India.
The patient was administered the first Covishield dose on February 6 and second on March 10. Ten days after that he developed symptoms and his family took to COVID hospital in Balangir for swab test. He tested positive there.
