Odisha Man’s Body Detained At Kerala Hospital Over Bill Payment!

Bhubaneswar: The body of a worker, who hailed from Puri district of Odisha, has reportedly been lying at a hospital in Kerala following his death around ten days ago.

As per information received here, the authorities of the private hospital are refusing to hand over the body to the family members of the deceased over issues related to payment of bill raised by the medical facility. The incident came to light after local media reported about it.

The deceased was identified as Sanjay Singh of Sanananr in Krushnaprasad area of Puri district. He was engaged in a private establishment as a worker.

Sanjay was admitted to the private hospital in Enrnakulam following some ailment and he died while undergoing treatment around ten days ago. The body is stated to have been detained at the hospital.

However, the hospital authorities have not handed over the body to his family through over ten days have elapsed since his demise. They are reportedly demanding money to release the body. Certain issues relating to furnishing some documents are also stated to have cropped up.
