Bhubaneswar: As the annual High School Certificate (HSC) examination in Odisha concluded on Monday, stage is now set for starting evaluation of papers from April 3.
The evaluation of the matric examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) will begin on April 3, board president Ramashis Hazra said.
The annual HSC Summative Assessment-II examination 2023, which began on March 10, concluded on Monday.
The examination passed off smoothly, barring some errors, he said, adding that evaluation of answer scripts will be held at 56 centres from April 3.
He board president denied allegations that question papers were leaked during the examination, saying only some printing mistakes had surfaced and steps are being taken to do the evaluation accordingly.
Efforts will be made to complete the evaluation process and declare results within 45 days, Hazra said.
The teachers to be engaged in the exercise will be imparted necessary training for the smooth conduct of answer sheet evaluation, he said.
Board vice president Nihar Ranjan Mohanty said necessary steps are being taken for smooth conduct of evaluation.
It may be noted that more than 5 lakh students appeared for the Class X matric examination in 3,218 centres across the state.
