Odisha Matric Exams: Smart Tips To Help You Do Well

Cuttack: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha will conduct the annual High School Certificate (HSC) or Class 10 examinations from Wednesday (February 19).

Around six lakh students will appear for the matriculation exams for various streams — regular, ex-regular, correspondence, State Open School Certificate and Madhyamik (Sanskrit) Exams.

The papers will be held between 10 am and 12.30 pm on all days. However, an additional 15 minutes will be allotted to answer the Mathematics paper.

Odisha Bytes wishes the examinees best of luck and offers some handy tips to do well in the exams:

Smart Revision

Ensure that you devote ample time in revising important topics and concepts. Write them in a separate sheet and keep reading them whenever you get time. This will help you retain information better and boost your confidence.

Avoid Guesswork

Do not attempt questions you aren’t sure about. This will waste your crucial time. Be smart, leave it and move on to the next. The target should be to score more by writing your answers in a sensible and logical manner.

Start With Your Strength

Start answering the questions from your strong area. Read the paper carefully to sort your strong and weak areas in your mind. Then start tackling all the sections accordingly.

No Late Night Studies

Try to get 6-7 hours of sleep a day before the exam. There’s no point in starting a new topic at the last moment. The night before an exam, the only thing your mind needs is peace and relaxation to perform well.

Organise Your Bags

The examinees need to pack their bags a day in advance. Ensure that your pens, stationery, ID card and other essentials are kept ready.

Be Positive

The key to perform well in any exam is to remain calm and have a positive frame of mind. Don’t worry about the leftover topics or how difficult or easy the paper would be. Just take a deep breath and have faith in your preparations.

Final Checklist

Hall ticket: The candidates should not forget to carry their hall tickets inside the examination centre otherwise they won’t be allowed to enter the examination hall.

Items Banned: The candidates are forbidden from carrying electronic gadgets such as mobile phones or other communication devices inside the exam hall.
