Bhubaneswar: To check malpractice in the upcoming annual High School Certificate examinations in Odisha, the School and Mass Education department will deploy special squads for making surprise visits to examination centres.
Movements and details of the surprise visits by these squads will be kept confidential, School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash said in Bhubaneswar on Monday.
Notably, the annual HSC examinations will commence from March 10 and end on March 17.
“All the question papers have been dispatched to the various hubs, even as CCTVs will be installed in as many centres as possible to make the examinations free and fair,” the Minister said.
He further said that officials of the department have held discussion with the district administrations for smooth and fair conduct of the HSC examinations.
Special officials have been designated to safely carry question papers from the hubs to the examination centres.
“Examinations will be conducted smoothly. We advise students that they all remain stress free while sitting for the examinations as it is not the last one in their life,” Dash added.
According to the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), the Class-10 Summative Assessment-2 examinations shall start on March 10, 2023 and continue till March 17, 2023.
