Bhubaneswar: Odisha canoeists produced a stellar performance at the Open Canoe Sprint Senior National Men’s and Women’s Championship.
They bagged an impressive haul of 8 gold, 6 silver and 9 bronze medals in the four-day meet which concluded at Uttarakhand’s Tehri Dam on September 17.
The Odisha women’s team secured the runners-up trophy.
The fine show at the Nationals follows Odisha’s impressive performance in the 37th National Games 2023 in Goa, where they qualified in all 12 events and claimed 1 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze medals.
