Jharsuguda: The daughter of slain minister Naba Kishore Das on Thursday said her family did not want to comment on the Crime Branch investigation into the murder of her father.
Speaking to media persons on the sideline of function organised in memory of Das, his daughter Dipali said, “The Crime Branch is doing its work of investigation into the case. After the investigating agency files its final report, we can say anything on the matter.”
“My entire family is still in a shock for the incident. It is only 17-18 days since my father expired. We feel disturbed even by watching the news on the incident on TV and other media. It will not be appropriate on our part to comment anything now,” she added.
On asked about the allegation of opposition parties that it was a planned murder, she said her father was a popular leader and loved by the leaders irrespective of party affiliations.
“Because of their close association with my father and respect for him, the people are giving their own comments. Everybody is entitled to his or her opinion in a democracy and I respect them,” she added.
