Nabarangpur: Odisha Textiles, Handlooms and Handicrafts Minister Padmini Diyan on Friday went out of her way to help an accident victim and save his life in Nabarangpur district.
As per sources the Minister was returning to Kotpad from Dangaripuda under Dabugaon police limits in the district on Thursday evening when she saw the man lying unconscious along the road.
She immediately called for help from local fire service personnel and shifted him to Dabugan health care centre. He was later shifted to district headquarters hospital for better treatment.
The accident had occurred at Majhiguda square and as there was very less traffic on the road no one saw the biker, who was lying unconscious on the road. The victim is believed to be a resident of Kahakuda village under Ghodakhunda panchayat.
