Bhubaneswar: Odisha Work, Steel & Mines Minister Prafulla Mallick has protested against the move by the Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) authorities to convert Ispat General Hospital (IGH) into a super speciality hospital.
Mallick also wrote to requested Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday, requesting him to intervene in the matter.
In his letter, Mallick mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced that the IGH will be converted into a medical college and hospital. However, the RSP authorities are now working to convert the hospital into a super speciality hospital.
Maintaining that this was a violation of the PM’s directive, Mallik requested the Union Minister to issue a directive to the RSP authorities in this regard.
