Bhubaneswar: Water Resources, I&PR Minister Raghunandan Das has tested positive for COVID-19.
The MLA from Balikuda-Erasama constituency took to Twitter to inform about his health.
Das has urged people, who came in contact with him, to get themselves tested.
Earlier this week, Health and Family Welfare Minister Naba Kishore Das had tested positive for coronavirus.
Odisha reported 4,714 new COVID-19 positive cases including 416 minors in the last 24 hours, informed the health department. Out of the total positive cases, 2755 cases were from the quarantine centres, while 1959 cases were local contacts.
Khurda district reported the highest number of cases (1619), followed by Sundargarh (662), Sambalpur (437), Cuttack (360) and Jharsuguda (154).
On the other hand, 8 of the 14 Omicron cases detected on Saturday had foreign travel history. The rest 7 are local contacts. Of them, four persons with Omicron variant belong to Balasore district, as many to Sambalpur and the rest to Jajpur and Khurda districts.
