Bhubaneswar: Women and Child Development Minister Tukuni Sahu on Wednesday rebuked staff of an anganwadi centre in Khurda district over the quality of food served to the children.
The Minister, who paid a surprise visit to some of the anganwadi centres, hauled up the staff at one such centre.
“Have you checked the quality of food before serving to the children. Please ensure quality,” she was heard as saying in TV footages. She sat with the children and had the same food served to them.
She also enquired if the children were being served eggs and for how many times a week.
