Odisha Minister Turns Good Samaritan For Accident Victim In Puri

Puri: A bike rider, who sustained critical injuries in a road accident, found a Good Samaritan in Odisha’s Commerce and Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhusan Jena on Monday.

The Minister extended immediate assistance to the accident victim while on his way to Ganjam after attending a Rath Yatra coordination meeting in Puri.

As per his experience narrated by the Minister on social media platform X, the incident took place near Andalasing village on Jagannath Road in Puri district. A critically injured passenger was found at the site of a road accident.

The Minister, who was passing through the site, swiftly ensured that the injured person is shifted to the Puri District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) in his official escort vehicle for timely medical attention.

Following the accident, some people had staged a road blockade, disrupting traffic flow. The Minister held talks directly with the locals, explained the situation, and succeeded in convincing them to lift the blockade.

The prompt intervention by the Minister, which has been widely appreciated, highlights the importance of timely response in such situations.
