Bhubaneswar: A critically-ill Badri Narayan Patra, the BJD MLA from Ghasipura, has been airlifted to Hyderabad from Bhubaneswar, his son Debapriya Patra informed on Saturday.
The MLA was admitted to a private hospital in Odisha capital after he complained of uneasiness in the chest. With his health condition remaining critical, arrangements were made to shift him to Hyderabad from Apollo Hospitals in an air ambulance.
Badri has been representing Ghasipura Assembly constituency for three consecutive terms since 2009. He also served as School and Mass Education in the previous Naveen Patnaik government.
