Jajpur: A youth was seriously injured when the motorcycle he was riding dashed against the vehicle of senior BJD leader and Badachana MLA Amar Prasad Satpathy in Odisha’s Jajpur district.
The mishap took place near Bandala on the National Highway No. 16 when Satpathy, a former Minister, was on his way to attend a programme on Saturday night, sources said on Sunday.
The legislator had stopped for some work near Bandala square when the speeding bike rammed his vehicle from the rear. While the rear bumper and glass were damaged, the biker sustained serious injuries.
The injured youth, identified as Soumya Ranjan Samal of Subhadrapur near Chandikhole, was rushed to the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Badachana for treatment.
