Bhubaneswar: The Vigilance sleuths on Saturday arrested Harekrushna Nayak, ASI, Odisha Motor Vehicle Department (OMVD), Jharsuguda, for allegedly accumulating assets, 440 per cent more than his known sources of income.
According to Vigilance sources, disproportionate assets worth 2,24,19,798 were unearthed during simultaneous raids at Cuttack, Puri, Jharsuguda and Ganjam districts on Friday.
Assets Unearthed:
>> A double-storey building worth Rs 61.4 lakh at Friends’ Colony, Mangalabag, Cuttack
>> Another double-storey building worth Rs 70 lakh at Maluda in Puri
>> A double-storey building worth Rs 37.99 lakh at Ramnagar, Berhampur
>> Five plots, including two plots in Cuttack, one plot in Berhampur and two plots in Puri
>> Fixed deposits, bank and insurance deposits worth over Rs 18.12 lakh
>> Cash worth Rs 4.46 lakh
>> Gold, silver and household articles worth over Rs 9.5 lakh
