New Delhi: Union Minister Pratap Chandra Sarangi is accompanying President Ram Nath Kovind on an official tour of three African countries – Benin, The Gambia and Guinea today.
They are being joined by Member of Parliament Dilip Ghosh.
The seven-day visit will be the first high-level tour of any Head of State from India to the three West African countries.
Taking to his official Twitter handle, Sarangi apprised people of his constituency about this visit and urged them to take up issues with the local MLA or his representative Umakanta Mohapatra during his absence.
The BJP MP from Balasore said that this foreign visit has lengthen his stay outside Odisha. Stating that he will have to attend Parliament on his return, Sarangi said he planning to return to his constituency by August 10.
