Odisha MP Baijayant Panda Named Chairperson Of Public Undertakings Committee

Bhubaneswar: Sabha Speaker Om Birla has appointed BJP MP from Odisha’s Kendrapada Baijayant Panda as the Chairperson of the Public Undertakings Committee for 2024-25.

The Committee comprises 15 Lok Sabha MPs and seven members from Rajya Sabha.

While Baijayant Panda will lead the Committee on Public Undertakings, BJP’s Sanjay Jaiswal will head the Committee on Estimates.

According to official sources, these Committees will examine and scrutinise the government’s financial activities and the functioning of public enterprises

Lok Secretariat informed that several key Committees, including the Public Accounts Committee, Estimates Committee, and Public Undertakings Committee, have been constituted. The Committees have been tasked with overseeing government accounts and the functioning of public enterprises.
